​This year, the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) will be partnering with The REWARD Alliance for its 7th Annual Symposium on Research Translation. The theme will be Ensuring Value in Research with a particular focus on: 

- Justifiable research priorities ​

- Robust research design, conduct and analysis

- Regulation and management of research conduct proportionate to risks

- Accessible research methods and findings and complete and usable research reports

The REWARD Alliance is an international network of funders, editors, researchers and other stakeholders with a shared interest in ensuring value in health and medical research.

NHMRC is an Australian Government entity that aims to improve healthcare and health outcomes through funding high-quality health and medical research and building research capability, supporting the translation of health and medical research into better health outcomes and promoting the highest ethical standards in health and medical research. 

The Symposium is for anyone with an interest in ensuring that research contributes to knowledge and improved health outcomes in the most effective and efficient way.

Participants may include preclinical and clinical researchers, health services and public health researchers, policy makers, health care practitioners and managers, community members in health care and consumers. Symposium participants will also have the opportunity to network with, learn from, and establish collaborations with others committed to ensuring value in research.

Call for abstracts
Abstracts for oral presentations and posters are invited in the following categories:

- Justifiable research priorities

- Robust research design, conduct and analysis

- Regulation and management of research conduct proportionate to risks

- Accessible research methods and findings and complete and usable research reports

Registrations
Registrations for the Symposium will open in June 2018. All accepted authors must register for the Symposium. Further information, including details regarding the Symposium program, will be provided in the coming months.
