Tackling Diet-related Disease in New Zealand - the need, the evidence, the priorities is a full-day symposium that will showcase research from New Zealand population nutrition researchers and facilitate discussion on priorities for action.
 
The event is a collaboration between the DIET Programme (NIHI, University of Auckland), INFORMAS (University of Auckland), and the BODE³ Programme (University of Otago, Wellington), and it is co-sponsored by the Healthier Lives National Science Challenges. The research programmes (DIET, BODE³ and INFORMAS) were/are all funded by HRC.
 
Topics include: how healthy are New Zealand foods; is food labelling the answer; junk food marketing and children; and price as a lever for change. The day will end with a panel discussion on priorities for action.
There is no cost for attendance, however registration is compulsory.
