The Health Research Council wishes to advise researchers about the upcoming release of a Request for Proposals (RFP), which will seek applications from New Zealand-based researchers (individuals or teams) with demonstrated collaborations and linkages with China-based researchers.

This RFP aligns with the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s Catalyst Fund, which aims to facilitate the development of research collaborations between New Zealand researchers and international colleagues.

This investment is designed to support a research project focusing on health and biomedical science as agreed by the New Zealand and Chinese Governments. The HRC will fund one project with funding available up to a total of $405,000 (exclusive of GST) over three years.

A parallel application process for collaborating China and New Zealand-based researchers will be run and applicants must apply in their home country.

The RFP and all associated documentation are scheduled to be released on our website and on the Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) on Friday, 18 October 2019. We are using a one-stage application process; interested parties should read the RFP document and guidelines before completing registration and the subsequent full application.
