Clinical Research Training Fellowship (PDF 84KB)
Provides an opportunity for medical, dental and allied health professionals to undertake a PhD or equivalent qualification, offering a stipend plus University fees for up to three years full time (or four years part time). For further information email ltodd@hrc.govt.nz.
Foxley Fellowship (sabbatical) (PDF 72KB)
Provides a salary to enable a health sector professional to undertake a research sabbatical at a tertiary institution. The award aims to enhance links between HRC-funded research and health care delivery or health policy. Duration is up to one year full-time or two years part-time. Girdlers' Fellowship (PDF 43KB)
Provides a salary for advanced research experience at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford, for a New Zealand citizen whose research programme is relevant to health sciences. The college has particular expertise in clinical medicine. Available every two years. Please contact HRC for information on eligibility, email ltodd@hrc.govt.nz.

Contact your host institution's research office or the HRC to confirm closing dates and availability. These awards are competitive. We determine annually the number of HRC awards in any category, in each round as set out in our Investment Strategy. Tenure of any award cannot be extended beyond the prescribed maximums.
