Heavy binge drinking amongst Niue adolescents continues to be a major health related problem in New Zealand and Niue. The purpose of this development grant is to identify why Niuean males and females continue to consume alcohol and undertake risky behaviours. The objectives are to identify what are the key alcohol related issues for Niue adolescent and how heavy alcohol consumption continues to be a problem.
