Maori health researchers, Professor Linda Smith, Dr Leonie Pihama, Dr Cherryl Smith, Carl Mika, Leanne Hiroti and Dr Paul Reynolds, have recently completed an HRC-funded research project. The report, 'He Kakano: Traditional and Contemporary Maori Views and Experiences of Fertility, Reproduction and Assisted Reproductive Technologies', consists of korero gathered around traditional and contemporary knowledge and experiences of whanau experiencing issues related to infertility. This grant will be used toward the cost of publishing a book from the wealth of information gathered in the project. The book will be written so that it is accessible to a variety of audiences.
