The studentship will focus on capacity building for population-based health research skills. The ""Warm 'N' Well"" project in the Waitemata District Health Board will be assessed in relation to housing-related, potentially avoidable, hospitalisation trends for Maori, Pacific, and non-Maori, and non-Pacific groups in the local area. An investigation into the national and international literature on housing and health will be conducted, in addition to the development of specific database. The outcomes of this research include skills-capacity building for the student and a report of the results, to be submitted to HRC.
