Lay summary
This project will examine Maori people's access to palliative care, their experiences of palliative care, the level of health literacy about palliative care in the community, the health literacy demands made by health services, as well as communication and information resources within palliative care. We will explore these issues with whanau who have experienced palliative care services, and with Maori and health workers who have expertise in palliative care. We will also develop a research agenda to increase our knowledge and understandings in these areas.
