Lay summary
We will determine the role of whole-genome sequencing (WGS) for drug susceptibility testing (DST) of Mycobactrium tuberculosis in Myanmar and Indonesia, two high TB burden countries. We will investigate discrepancies between genotypic and phenotypic DST results and use WGS to investigate the population structure of resistant M. tuberculosis. We will use WGS to study transmissibility of drug-resistant strains.
