This hui will celebrate the patient deterioration programme that began in 2016 with the aim of improving the recognition of and response to adult hospital in-patients who deteriorate.
The speakers will discuss:
- how hospitals have strengthened their systems using clinical tools
- establishing Kōrero mai
- supporting clinicians, patients and whānau with shared goals of care discussions
- learnings from implementing systems such as the maternity early warning score (MEWS), the electronic vital signs system and validating the New Zealand early warning score (NZEWS).
