The first trial of lung cancer screening in New Zealand is about to get underway following a nearly $2 million grant from the Health Research Council facilitated through the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases programme.
Applications for high-quality research that will drive equitable cancer outcomes for New Zealanders are now open as part of a new funding initiative by the HRC, Te Aho o Te Kahu – the Cancer Control Agency, and the Ministry of Health.
In February 2021, the HRC, Te Aho o Te Kahu (the Cancer Control Agency) and the Ministry of Health will release a Request for Proposals to fund research that will drive equitable cancer outcomes for New Zealanders.
