Lay summary
The triple aim of this mixed-methods study is to assess the readiness to change the model of care in an acute care hospital, use a Māori-centered health framework to develop a model for person-centred care delivery, and pilot and evaluate the implementation. This will contribute to reducing disparities and improving the healthcare delivery experience of Māori and their whānau, and will inform revision of the Fundamentals of Care Framework currently used at the study site from an indigenous cultural perspective.
