Lay summary
Te Atawhai o te Ao (Whanganui) is a kaupapa Maori Institute that undertakes
a range of environmental and health research. We work alongside whanau and Maori communities to undertake research that will benefit Maori. Our research focus is on Maori knowledge and history; Maori understanding of trauma and recovery; Maori pathways of healing; environment and health; occupational and environmental toxic exposure; generational wellbeing; and Maori sexuality and reproductive health.
